Sports Massage Therapist – Jeanette M Hine MFHT
I thought it would be nice to share with you why I chose to become a Sports Massage Therapist.
After many years of being a teaching assistant sitting at tiny desks, on even smaller chairs I was painfully aware of how my work place could have an effect on my body. I am a bit of a ‘fitness enthusiast’ as well, playing hockey, football and taking part in dance classes, so my body started to feel that too.
After receiving treatments for myself, and seeing the benefits, I decided that I wanted to help women like me stay as active as possible, for as long as possible. Whether that is to take part in their local Park Run, walk the dog or manage a day at the office – all with as little tension as possible.
My children are now all grown up and I decided it was time for a new challenge and so my journey to becoming a sports massage therapist began. I returned to the classroom, only this time as a student!
After qualifying as a Level 3 Sports Massage Therapist, I created my mobile massage business Revitalise Therapy. My thirst to learn more didn’t stop there and I have since gone on to study my Level 4 certificate, pregnancy massage and seated acupressure massage.
Being a mobile therapist, provides the opportunity for me to treat clients in the comfort of their own home.
The best part is that I love it. I love working together to make sure you are feeling your very best, so you can carry on doing the things that make you, you.
